Discussion: Recycling Challenges in Our community

Open to the entire University community and the general public
Resource and exhibition by the Agr. Maribelle Marrero Vázquez, Vice President of Government Affairs ConWaste LLC. Recycling Company in Mayagüez, and other towns.
Municipal recycling coordinators from different municipalities in the western area and other guests will be participating in the event too.
The event will be submitted for evaluation and possible validation of contact hours to the Office of Government Ethics.

Symposium: Opening the dialogue, closing the reciclying cycle in puerto rico
This event will be hosted by La Tribu Contribuye which is a group of young people committed to environmental education and the culture of reusing materials in Puerto Rico. We invite you to be part of this event were the attendees will exchange some knowledge about the recycling topic in order to strengthen ties of action that contribute to our common ecological vision that we all share.

Annual Meeting of the Puerto Rico Recycling Partnership
The Puerto Rico Recycling Partnership (PRRP) in alliance with the US Environmental Protection Agency, invites you to participate in our first meeting of 2019. Key topics for discussion will include: the current capacity of landfills in Puerto Rico after Hurricanes Irma and María; strategies for disaster debris management; Pay As You Throw policies; the consequences of the new restrictions of China’s National Sword Policy regarding contamination of recyclable commodities, and the future of the PRRP.
